The
36th World festival of Underwater Pictures will take place
from October 29th to November 1st 2009 in Marseille
- France (Palais
du Pharo).
In this prestigious place, located at the entrance of the “Vieux-Port”,
there is a 1,800 m2 space for exhibition and 3 rooms for
the showing of films and photographs in competition.
Deeply rooted in the history of diving, with an extraordinary submarine
heritage, the city of Marseille is a legitimate reception place for
the Festival. With numerous access and accommodation facilities (TGV,
airport), the Phocean City offers all the trumps for a great festival.
All Festival and Spondyle Club team, with Daniel Mercier and Philippe
Vallette, are waiting for you for this 36th Festival.

Among the photographs registred in the still image categories (Colour, B&W, Portfolio) two thematic prizes will award the best photograph showing an apneist (Apnea Magazine Prize) and the best picture displaying a jellyfish. |
